Subject            :           Installing late free-issue sanitary items at site

We write to you regarding your question if Xxx can install certain free-issue sanitary items on site, namely the following:

SW01 – Bath tub

  • SW16A – Linear slot drain
  • SW17A – Frameless Pneumatic In-Wall Tank

Please note our comments as follows:

SW01 – Bath tub is considered a first fix plumbing item and cannot be installed on site as it will affect the tiling of the bathtub facia, bathtub slab and adjacent bath walls in addition to securing water sealing.

SW16A – The linear slot drain is needed to cast the pod floor (first activity in pod production). It cannot be installed on site and is necessary before pod production even starts.

SW17A – Frameless Pneumatic In-Wall Tank is a first fix sanitary item and cannot be installed on site. It resides in-between the cistern box and the fully assembled pod wall (Internal board, studs and external board). Installing the tank on site will delay the assembly of the cistern box, tiling of the cistern box and installation of the W/C in addition to water sealing.

In addition to the above mentioned points, please note that post installation of these will affect the testing and factory commissioning of the pods. For example, after installation of the water tank and W/C, the pod undergoes pressure testing at Xxx’ factory.

Yours faithfully,

On behalf of  xxx LLC
