Subject           : Regarding 3rd floor partition drawing issue and latest instructions

Dear Sir,

With reference to the above, we have been prepared the partition drawing as per your previous approval for the 2nd floor and kindly note the following:

  1. As we discussed during the meeting held on 06.03.17, you have been instructed that we should prepare the drawing for partition as per our original contract scope because issue of variation and client’s concern So, we are holding the drawing to submit as per the concept approved for 2nd floor.
  • Kindly issue in formal communication that, instruction to the contractor to submit the partition drawing for 3rd floor as per original contract scope (i.e., 50dB between room to room with the tolerance limit ) as per BS code and previous approval will limit upto 2nd floor .
  • As per the UK specialist services-health technical memorandum 08-01 :acoustics (page no.27 copy attached) mentioned in Article 9.2, partition and floor sound insulation tolerance limit  for the light weight construction is 7dB and for masonary construction is 4dB.
  • We are going to highlight the common door between queen and twin room fixed at mock upo room which have single frame with double shutter.

As per new instruction to prepare the shop drawing based on the tender drawing, the double shutter door in a single frame cannot be fixed because of the thickness of frame required and wall thickness are not same. (Existing wall thickness 122mm in mock up room which will be revised 100mm as per tender drawing.)

This is for your kind information, kindly provide a formal instruction to start the shop drawings as per discussion held in the site meeting and review ther issue of the double shutter door and advise accordingly.

Regards,

For xxx Contracting L.L.C.
