Method Statement for Fire Pumps Routine Test

1. As per NFPA 25, Chapter 8 (attached copy)
2. Visual Inspection shall be done in a weekly base for the pump room, valves, pumps, etc.
3. Weekly no-flow test shall be done at Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
   1. Discharge gate valve on the main line shall be closed.
   1. Test flow line shall be closed
   1. Make sure that there is enough diesel fuel in the tank.
   1. Make sure for the Earthing connection.
   1. Visual check for electrical connections.
   1. The electric pump shall run a minimum of 10 minutes.
   1. The diesel pump shall run a minimum of 30 minutes.
