METHOD OF STATEMENT FOR REPLACING OF OLD CABLE & INSTALLING NEW CABLES

1.0       SCOPE OF WORK

This Method Statement is applicable for Replacing of old fire cable & installing new conduit.

2.0       RESPONSIBILITY

Before commencement of any installation activity, the following procedures are required to be carried out.

• All materials used must have an approved material submittal.
  • Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.

3.0       DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Installation Procedure

• Remove the old cables laying above the ceiling from detectors
• Install the PVC pipe / pvc flexible wherever necessary
• Install the new cable instead of old cable

4.0       LABOUR, PLANT & MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

• The material shall be of approved Manufacturer as per the material submittal.
  • Skilled technicians, in sufficient numbers, shall carry out the installation.

• EQUIPMENTS REQUIRED

• Wire cutter, Ladder, hand gloves.

• ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ensure that the labour has a good working environment, a hazard free environment.

• HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Ensure work area is clean and tidy.

Ensure the work Area is well ventilated.
