| Installation | Ensure the pumps installation is as per the manufacturer’s recommendations & as per approved detailed shop drawings. | ||||

| Check the pumps cabling & termination using megger. | |||||
| Check whether the priming of the pumps are done properly and ensure the air lock is removed from the system. | |||||
| All level float switches and dry run protections are properly installed. | |||||
| Ensure that Pumps are free to rotate with hand. | |||||
| Check pumps alignment using dial gauge or alignment tool. | |||||
| Check that the control panels are integrated with the BMS System. | |||||
| Check the smooth running of the pumps set overloads. | |||||
| Ensure all piping and its joints are pressure tested. | |||||
| Safety Precautions | When installing the Pumps, be mindful of the pump’s centre of gravity & weight. Ensure that the pump is suspended properly. | ||||
| Ensure that only authorized personnel shall install the fire pumps set. | |||||
| Install the pumps on a horizontal and rigid surface such as concrete, in an area that is free from turbulence and does not cause the pump to take air in. | |||||
| Properly install pipes so as not to create any air pocket in the middle of the piping. | |||||
| Place the pump and the float switch away from the inlet or install a baffle plate. | |||||
