Subject : Status of Tiles TL-202
Reference : a) xxx dated 15 December xxx
b) xxx dated 14 January xxx
Dear Sir,
I’m writing to inform you that we have a shortage in the quantity of tile type TL-202 supplied by the Main Contractor to M/s xxx (Contractor Name) and we urge you to provide us the remaining quantity needed to complete the tiling works of the last 115 pods.
The overall supplied quantity of tile type TL-202 to M/s xxx (Contractor Name) was distributed over 7 different tile patterns as per the Engineer/Client requirement to have random patterns installed in each pod.
Out of the 7 patterns received, 1 tile pattern (appendix 1) was rejected by the Engineer/Client via report No. DG‐ARCH‐SOR‐0006. Accordingly we have stopped using this specific tile pattern and we currently have 9,280 pcs of it in our store that are rejected and cannot be used.
From the other 6 patterns (2 to 7), one pattern (appendix 2) was delivered in excess and is the only pattern left in stock. We currently have 7,360 pcs of this specific tile pattern out of which only 2,475 pcs are needed for the last 115 pods.
In order to maintain the randomness required in the tile installation, we need to receive 2,475 pcs from each one of the tile patterns no. 3 to 7 (appendix 3) to allow us to continue our tiling works in a similar way to the previously delivered pods.
We urge you to arrange the materials as described above in a timely manner to avoid stoppage of production.
Otherwise, if the main contractor would like us to use the quantity of tiles remaining from patterns 1 & 2, you are requested to instruct us to do so.
M/s xxx (Contractor Name) will not be responsible for any delay or consequences resulting from the delay in arranging the tiles as per the project requirement.
This is for your information & necessary action.
Yours faithfully,
On behalf of xxx LLC
