Dear Sir,
We are in receipt of your letter ref: xxx dated 16 August xxx and we would like to clarify the following:
- The Engineer comments on the wall & floor tiles submittal rev.00 has been released to M/s xxx (Contractor Name) on 01 July xxx as we clarified earlier.
- The comments noted on this submittal, in particular in relation to matching the tiles of the previous phase 3 in terms of shade, were communicated immediately with the supplier who reverted back with his letter dated 08 July xxx, clarifying the shade variations that are to be expected between the old production batch of phase 3 and a new production batch for your project. Upon receipt of the supplier letter, we have revised and resubmitted on 12 July xxx by attaching the supplier confirmation and compliance statement.
- We object to your general statement, as we have been called on the 15 July xxx to a meeting with ASC and the Engineer to address and confirm the expected shade variations as noted in the supplier confirmation letter. During this meeting we have been advised to provide tile that is within the range of tiles supplied for any of the previous phases.
Based on this confirmation, M/s xxx (Contractor Name) has placed the order with supplier immediately following the subsequent public EID holidays.
- With reference to the MOSAIC tiles, we are surprised by your statement as we have not received any rejection until today on the Mosaic tiles. On the contrary, it was stated in our last meeting with the Engineer that the mosaic tiles are approved. If this is the case, kindly return a copy of the submittal as soon as possible to allow us to take appropriate action.
Furthermore, we would like to inform you that we have received the latest update from the supplier “Home Items” today that the tiles are no longer expected to arrive around the 28 to 30 August as previously communicated but it will be arriving by 3rd or 4th week of September. Further details are included in the attached supplier’s email (appendix 1).
Based on this latest information, and in due consideration of the two week production cycle of pods, we will be in a position to confirm the first pod deliveries once we receive a final proof of shipment from the supplier.
Yours faithfully,
On behalf of M/s xxx (Contractor Name) LLC
