Subject : Regarding your mail dated xxx, regarding slow progress
Of work and resources issue
Dear Sir,
With reference to your above mail (copy attached) we would like to intimate you the followings:
- We are submitting our revised agreed work schedule with bar chart showing mile stone, as per meeting held on dated xxx and we will work out accordingly which is attached herewith.
- We already added resources some are work virtually like welder at workshop at the time of contract and market. Many activities may lag behind as shown in your mail attachment because of the late supply of material by client or due to delay in the decision making or delay in the shop drawing, further some decisions are still pending and contractor should not be blamed for that.
- Regarding your concern to arrange necessary resources from the outside. Kindly note that now most of the activity is belongs to sub-contractor and already assigned and we are following with sub-contractor to increase the resources, where ever required and arrange more if required from their end.
- In case, if it is required that the client will hire additional resources, we have our capping/ceiling price on our cost which is of our concern and beyond our cost capping the extra overburden amount is either hourly rate or rate of the sub-contractor, client must bear the same.
- Our concern for extra cost to crush the schedule will be applied by the client only, in that case the contractor cost overrun in preliminary is already on because of the additional time extension for which the request has been submitted and for any variation we can’t absorb the additional cost, since extension of the time is not being granted.
Regards,
For xxx Contracting L.L.C.
