Dear Sir,

This is further to the above cited referred letter, we would like to submit following correspondence chronology to support our claim extension of time for completion.

  1. 25th January 22 the consultant responded “expect to receive revised drawing soon” against contractor’s submitted footing shop drawing. Which indirect indication to hold the footing works although the drawing status was approved as noted.
  2. 9th February 22 we have received DDA Approved drawing in AutoCAD format from Atrium head office, on same email xxx mentioned kindly notice that this drawing is the final approved drawing by DDA but we still have modifications. 1. to avoid dewatering in swimming pool area we will reduce underground pump room and water tank and swimming pool as well”. Also, indication of change in drawing.
  3. 11th February 22, we received an email from Mr. Ashraf with clear instruction to “hold fabrication of steel for footing related to axis M6 as its under review with structural Engineer”.
  4. 24th February 22, we have received an email from Mr. Ashraf with a download link for the revised drawing advance copy for information only.
  5. 01st March 22, we have received DDA approved revised structural drawing from Mr. Ashraf.

Please note, we reserve our right to claim additional reasonable time to produce and approval BBS and shop drawing, order and delivery of reinforcement with delivery lead time.

In light of above its evident, MCM could not complete casting of all the footing of main villa, which delayed the successor activities such as but not limited to casting of Tie beam, grade slab so on.

Therefore, the claim of extension of time to complete the project  is completely in line of project documents and FIDIC 1999.

This is for your review and approval.

Thank You.

Yours Sincerely,
