Dear Sir,
We are writing to you, following our previous correspondences Ref. (a, b) above, to inform you that representatives of your company along with the Engineer and the Client have visited our factory on 07 October xxxx and have inspected the different types of pods that were ready for dispatch.
The inspection result was very satisfactory as reflected in the approval received via Email. (Appendix 1)
Furthermore, I’d like to note that during the visit, all the previous comments mentioned on earlier MIRs for Civil & MEP were discussed and cleared with the Engineers. Accordingly, it was agreed during the visit that your team will revise the previous MIRs for Hotel & Residential and release back to Xxxx with a final status recorded as “Approved”.
In summary, all the comments below have been cleared on all pods (delivered and in production) as per the Engineer Email (appendix 1) and are therefore no longer applicable.
- Uneven color silicon grout in TILE access panel compared to existing tile grout are inspected & approved by the employer.
- Lights to be completed in site & to be inspected by SSH.
- Location of hand shower with slider on the right hand is acceptable in any POD.
- White Solid surface (Corian like) shelf support polished bracket is acceptable.
- Location of Shaver sockets are accepted by SSH & CESPF.
- Sealant around bathtub is accepted by CSEPF & SSH.
- Manufacturer’s exposed LOGO are normally acceptable as per approved SAMPLE.
- Curtain rods are acceptable by SSH & CSEPF.
On the other hand, the comments in the table below are the only comments that the Engineers has requested to be complied with moving forward, both for the delivered pods and pods which are under production.
We have included our response point wise to each of the comments.
S/N | Comments by SSH | Xxxx response |
1 | Wall penetration to be closed properly | Noted. This will be taken into consideration. |
2 | PPR pipe alignment to be rectified and to be aligned properly. | PPR pipes are pressured and the minor non-alignment has no technical impact. However, it will be taken into consideration to the maximum extent in the pods under production. |
3 | PPR pipe screws to be tightened and drill properly. | Noted. It’s already done. |
4 | All test reports for both drainage and PPR pipe to be submitted. | The materials test reports are part of the Material submittals. Xxxx testing are part of the check sheets submitted with every POD delivery. |
5 | WC bracket load test report to be submitted. | Find the WC load test result attached (appendix 2) |
6 | Some cabinet bottom mirrors are not aligned POD-P. | Noted. In case of any misalignment, it can be adjusted on site. This is highly expected due to the size of the mirror and transport of pods. |
7 | Location of toilet paper holder in POD N & N (M) to be relocated near to hand hygiene spray in vertical position. | Noted. This was a new comment that was raised during the inspection and which diverts from drawings. It was re-confirmed after the meeting (appendix 3) that it’s only required for POD N which will be followed by Xxxx. |
8 | Crack found on tile grout to be rectified. | Noted and complied. |
9 | Holes on empty shelves (Mirror cabinet) are to be covered with white plug, Sample shown by UNIPOD is acceptable to SSH & CSEPF | Noted. Xxxx ordered the approved materials and will be installed in all undelivered pods once the materials arrive. For pods that are delivered already, it can be installed on site. |
In order to officially close this inspection, we expect to receive the formal copies of all pods Civil & MEP MIRs with an approved status within 1 week.
In the meantime, and in order to support the site, Xxxx will consider that the inspection has cleared all the pods and we will maintain deliveries on the basis that all pods are approved.
This is for your information and record.
Yours faithfully,
On behalf of xxx LLC
