Subject: Regarding dry wall partition work delay issue and intimation for the rework of partition at second floor
Dear Sir,
With due respect and subject mentioned for delay in your previous communications (ref : AP/269/CC/256 dt 27.02.17, & AP/269/CC/263 DT.06.03.17, )we always expect contractor’s proactive efforts be measured impartially without any influence and unbaised manner ,please be consider the following inline for partion work issue and delay:
- Second floor partion wall closed without having any media hub drawing / material/ GRMS /home center drawing . So, we must remove the Gypsum sheet wherever it required ,to fix the GI boxes for media hub and plywood support for home center as well as GRMS requirement . So, it will be varaition in time and cost for second floor area.
- In the Third floor, we are requesting to clear issue for wall thickness which is raised already and also home center subcontractor mail attached for your reference to fullfill their request . Decission awaited for the same.
- If your decision that contractor will follow the second floor drawing , then Contractor will claim the variation for rework related media hub, GRMS and home center.
- Kindly confirm we shall carry same second floor drawing for third floor partition by considering the variation or not as we mentioned our concern in letter ref : CC/AP/330/17 DT.15.03.17
- Partition wall issue remianed under discussion for morethan five months and facts known by every one ,but you denied , Contactor requesting to judge on facts submitted to grant the extension of time impartially.
- To make a mock up which was costed five time more than the mock up cost because many concept was not finalized and also due to involvement of many stakeholder s and we did work based on verbal discussion without their drawing , opening , refixing.
Will contractor loss will be considered and judged by you?
- Only four nos boxes of media hub supplied and contractor efforts to fix these boxes in back to back/ side by side , two days wasted with MEP team and interior team to resolve and to fuflii the ID requirement incluidng fixing, refixing and inspection.
- The Mock up progress hold due to GRMS conduits and issue addressed fully and week long work continued for morethan 30 days. Will Contractor’s claim for time extension and cost is considered ?
So, this is for your kind information that, the contractor continuing without having clearance / nomination/material /drawing issue including financial losses of mock up as well as continuing the work at second floor . Still your blame of delaying in the partition may justify? Or all the issues mentioned by the contractor are not valid?
Please confirm all the rework variation will be approved and we need Engineer’s instruction to continue the partition work without incorporationg the requirement of media hub , GRMS including final decision to clear the issue for third floor and hereby contractor’s notifying that they will not responsible for the partition work and delay of the project.
