Dear Sir,
We are in receipt of your letter reference xxx dated 21st July xxx regarding the alleged slow progress of subcontract for Kitchen Cabinets and Wardrobes which we disagree that it is due to Xxx (Name of the Subcontractor) Interiors fault.
We would like to bring to your attention that there are areas on site which are not ready to receive the Kitchen Cabinets and Wardrobes and this is being coordinated to your site team, such as the discrepancy on the approved shop drawings against the actual site conditions which is affecting our works, for instance there are Distribution Boards and gas pipes on the Kitchen which is affecting the Kitchen Cabinet works. Moreover, taping and jointing are not yet completed in Kitchen and Wardrobe areas which is affecting our works particularly at Cluster 12 levels 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Floors of Block B.
In view of the above, we disagree on the contents of your letter and we reject any penalty that will be imposed by ASCON on Xxx (Name of the Subcontractor) Interiors due to this issue. We reserve our rights for extension of time of completion due to the unavailability of areas to complete our works.
