Dear Sir,
With reference to our previous claims mentioned above, and following the receipt of last invoices from the transporters, we have compiled the claim related to the 240 pods (Phase A) additional incurred cost due to the exceptional KSA customs regulations attaching the supporting documents.
The custom regulation that impacted trailers and drivers from UAE was issued on 14-08-1441 hijri (07-April-xxx) by Saudi Customs and was cancelled on 13-12-1441 Hirji (03-August-xxx). (Attachment 1)
All our deliveries for Phase A (240 pods) were within the period mentioned above. As the first delivery reached to your yard on 03-May-2020 and the last delivery reached on 27-July-xxx.
- Attachment 2: Breakdown of transportation cost.
In this breakdown, you will find the actual details related to each delivery such as (trailer size, transport company, invoice no, delivery no, loading date and invoice amount). Also, each delivery and respective actual invoice are compared to the normal cost of transportation.
- The total actual incurred cost for delivering 240 pods: AED xxx
- The total cost for delivering 240 pods allowed for in our offer and Subcontract based on standard transportation is: AED xxx
- The total additional incurred cost = (1) – (2) = AED xxx
- Attachment 3: The quotations for transportation cost prior to the exceptional KSA customs regulations resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic and based on which our offer and Subcontract price is built: (AED xxx) per trip for 12m trailer able to carry 3 pods.
- Attachment 4: The actual invoices copies for 240 pods delivered for all shipments within the time of implementation of the exceptional customs regulations.
- Attachment 5: The 76 No. of delivery notes related to the 240 pods delivered.
You are kindly requested to approve this claim of additional cost amounting AED xxxx(Only xxx Dirhams) at the earliest in accordance with previous discussions and communications.
