Dear Sir,
With respect to the subject mentioned above, we again reject your letters ref (a) and (c) mentioned above.
Your letter ref (c) is referring to the description of the bill of quantity where acoustic underlay is mentioned. However this same description must be read in full and not be subject to your own interpretation. It is clearly mentioned in the end of this description “as detailed in attachments A & B” (see attachment #1).
In attachment A, the scope of work is clearly defined and acoustic insulation is not under M/s xxx (Contractor Name) scope. (See attachment #2) In fact the only mentioned acoustic insulation is under Main/MEP Contractor’s scope. (See s/n 27 in attachment #2)
Therefore, the cost saving requested in the ERI-009 does not apply to M/s xxx (Contractor Name).
