Dear Sir,
We are writing in response to your letter ref: xxx dated 24 March xxx and would like to inform you the following:
The Engineer’s request to change the marble sets in the pods listed below (with the exception of Pod type 3, #40196 located in building 1, level 2, unit 205) is noted.
However, we also remind you that M/s xxx (Contractor Name) has been doing everything in its power to find the materials in the market and we have replaced the marble multiple times till now in these pods. But, due to the natural variance of this stone, the finishing inspections kept being rejected by the Engineer.
In our continuous effort to find the marble in the market, we have again sourced 7 slabs that were found the closest to the requirement of the Engineer. However, due to the slab sizes being less than the back splash size, these 7 slabs are only enough for 6 sets from the 12 sets required.
The 6 new sets are delivered to site on 20 April xxx and can be installed immediately upon their approval by the Engineer.
Depending on whether these slabs will be approved or not, there will still be a need to secure extra material from the market to allow us to replace the remaining 6 sets. Accordingly, as we have requested in our letter ref (a), if the main contractor has any source which supplies a marble vein pattern that meets the Engineer’s expectations, please provide us with its contact reference and M/s xxx (Contractor Name) will immediately procure these sets.
Alternatively, we again request that you proceed with the sets already installed and, we hereby confirm that in case any of these 13 sets receive any comment by the final homeowner relating to red veins or crystal patches during final handing over, M/s xxx (Contractor Name) will then replace the set upon request.
