Subject: Vanity Paint comments / Lipping all around the doors
Dear Mr. Loh,
Referring to our Material Sample Submittal Ref: xxx on the Vanity Paint we would to address separately on one of the comments on which we would like to share our concerns for our reference and record.
The comment and our concerns are as follows,
Comment: Lipping shall be provided all around as per the specification.
- This is a new comment and was never a part/ comment on any of the approved joinery drawings.
- Lipping all around the painted doors is not a general practice and is not recommended by Romeo (Joinery Division). They had never done any lipping on a painted door panel so far in any projects.
- In due course of time the doors may generate cracks in these joints because of 2 different materials (MDF & Wooden Lipping).
- Xxxx cannot take the responsibility for these cracks and cannot be covered under the workmanship warranty of Xxxx.
Accordingly if you insist Xxxx to provide lipping all around the cabinet doors, we need an instruction from the client accepting our above mentioned comments. Also this instruction can only be applicable for the newly produced cabinets and the existing ones may have to remain the same as per the approved drawings and Mock up pods.
Waiting for your further instruction to proceed further. Thanks.
Yours faithfully,
On behalf of xxx LLC
