Health & Safety Training Manual – Construction HSE Manual

Purpose:

 The purpose of Health and safety training plan is familiarization of all relevant activities step by step briefly to work force.  It’s also to schedule the third-party trainings and internal trainings.

 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQIPMENT

• Engineering controls shall be the primary methods used to eliminate or minimize hazard
• Exposure in the workplace. When such controls are not practical or applicable, personal
• Protective equipment shall be employed or eliminate personal exposure to hazards.
• Personal Protective Equipment) PPE (will be provided by the company with the duration of 6 months. It should be used, and maintained when it has been determined that its use is required and that such use will lessen the like hood of occupational injuries and/or illness.

Advice must be taken from the HSE department in recommending and/or providing necessary protective equipment where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the equipment will prevent or reduce the severity of injuries or illness.

EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• All personal protective clothing and equipment will be of save design and construction for the work to be performed. Only those items of protective clothing and equipment that is approved by HSE department will be procedure or accepted for use.
• The site shall designate someone who shall administer the issue and return of basic HSE equipment. If employee loses, or leaves at home his/her safety glasses or hardhat, the replacement will be payroll deducted.
• Replacement lenses for damaged or broken lenses will be replaced at no charge to the employee.
• Approved equipment as required by legal requirements is made available with strict enforcements of its proper use is exercised by project supervision.

The site HSE Personnel recommends and approves all safety equipment prior to purchase by the purchasing Department.
