Delay Analysis methodology

  1. In TIA method, to find out impact of a particular delay event, an updated programme is used (instead of the baseline programme) which should be updated just before the delay event had its effect on the project. A delay fragnet, consisting of activities related to the delay events, is introduce into the updated program and all the necessary links are made. The programme is then re-run again on the data date of the updated programme. If the delay event affects the critical path of the updated programme, the project completion date will be extended by showing a new project completion date. The difference in number of days between the new project completion date and the one before the delay event is inserted (i.e. at the data date of the updated programme) gives the delay impact of the delay event on the project.
