Method Statement Title: Chlorination, Disinfection and Commissioning of Domestic Water System
1.0 Scope :
To describe the method of flushing, Disinfecting and chlorination of domestic water
System as per specification Section 15400 Clause 3.07.
2.0 Material :
- Copper pipes.
- PR PVC pipes.
- Pex pipes.
- Valves fixed in the system
- U/G and overhead water tanks.
- Other associated materials.
3.0 Applicable locations and Description :
- E1, E2, E3, W1, W2 & W3 Towers, East & West Podiums and Villas.
- Water supply line (Main)
- Water distribution line (Branches).
- Water service lines (Supply to fixtures)
4.0 Method : Refer enclosed details.
- Safety
- Warning sign boards shall be displayed near all faucets outlets which are accessible to public during chlorination and pressure testing.
- Workers shall use protective hand gloves, masks and PPE as required.
- Sodium Hypochlorite (Liquid chlorine) shall be stored in shaded area.
- Care must be taken while opening the container lid.
