Subject : Issue regarding third resubmission of internal paint sample boards and final submission with request to forward the same to ID.
Dear Sir,
With reference to the above, the issue of the internal paint which is still under proccess of approval, kindly note our concern for the approval procedure and code specified against approved Sigma paint:
- The Contractor provided Jotun reference from ID Drawings and Sigma prepared the sample same as Jotun color code on sample board.
Sample submitted on 30.01.2017 and was not approved with comment specify location on 14.02.2017 even though area was attached with paint code along with first submission.
- The sample was resubmitted on 26.02.2017, with locations specified by the Contractor on sample board itself. Arkiplan again commented attach sample of approved color for comparision with equivalent color proposed from Jotun and returned on 13.03.2017.
- Contractor visited the Jotun factory to collect samples which was unavailable there, so we were redirected to Atlantis paint suppliers where 1ltr of paint cost AED 295 (invoice attached) over burden cost to contractor and we took a reasonable time for preparation of samples.
- As Jotun Code was specified by ID and our sample board prepared by Sigma with the same code we assumed the sample board would be forwarded to ID since they finalized the paint code and sample should be reviewed and commented by them.
Now, the same sample board has been prepared partially with Jotun paint and would like to inform you that Jotun has only limited glossy shades and they do not have any high gloss shades.
Moreover, the shade Yellow, code 0846 Sigmacryl High Gloss – S0580-Y60Ris discontinued in production so they have prpearest nearest shade code Fenomastic Smooth Silk 2561/1070-Y55R while the the same code for the Blue shade was provided.

So, kindly accep our submittal both as both your comments on 14.02.217 and 13.03.2017 have been complied and our humble request to forward the same to ID to avoid any other new comment form your end.
